The offensive struggles continued for Sherman in District 9-4A play as No. 6 Frisco Liberty swept a 25-13, 25-10, 25-16 decision against the Lady Cats on Tuesday night.

"We didn't have an offense to run because we didn't have the passes we needed to run it," said Lady Cats coach Malina Aleman.

Anna Jones finished with 10 kills and nine digs for Sherman while Lindsay Kirkpatrick had 16 digs and Ashli Wieck added 21 assists.

Among other performers, Carin Hepner had eight digs, Shaquoia Mask put down six kills, Jessica Wash finished with three kills and two blocks and Victoria James had two kills.

The Lady Cats (10-18, 0-6) will travel to McKinney North on Friday.

McKinney North def. Denison 3-0

McKINNEY -- Brooke Furst had six kills and Ashlyn Conrad collected 19 digs in a losing effort as McKinney North defeated Denison, 25-18, 25-15, 25-21.

Imani Finley, Erin Ramsey and Alexa Ruebeck each put down four kills while Rachel Oakley handed out eight assists and Danna Neasbitt chipped in five assists for the Lady Yellow Jackets.

The loss drops Denison (15-14, 2-4) into a fifth-place tie with McKinney, the team it hosts on Friday.

District 9-3A
No. 9 Argyle def. Whitesboro 3-0

ARGYLE -- Courtney Davis, Jill Schuessler and Becca Winter each had six kills in a losing effort as Argyle defeated Whitesboro, 26-24, 25-19, 25-15.

Kortney Beebe had nine kills while Taylor Ezzell added 11 assists, Becca Mock handed out 13 assists and Krista Hitt collected 14 digs for Whitesboro (20-8, 0-2), which travels to Celina on Friday night.

District 10-3A
No. 6 Commerce def. Bonham 3-2

BONHAM -- Paige Riza had 33 assists and six aces and Sydney Millhollon added 18 kills and five blocks in Bonham's tight loss to Commerce, 23-25, 25-21, 25-23, 15-25, 15-13.

Kaitlyn Fox handed out 18 assists, Kelsey Hines put down 14 kills and Chelsea Murphey had six blocks for Bonham (18-14, 0-2).

District 10-2A
Pilot Point def. S&S 3-1

SADLER -- Rebecca Roberts had 10 kills and 11 blocks while Megan Matlock had 10 kills and 10 blocks in a losing effort as Pilot Point defeated S&S, 25-22, 25-12, 20-25, 25-17.

Katie Parkes finished with eight kills and seven blocks while Haley Colwell chipped in seven kills and 11 assists, Alex Boren had six kills and 14 assists and Samantha Bandemir collected 27 digs for S&S (9-19, 0-2), which plays at Callisburg on Friday night.

District 11-2A
No. 6 Gunter def. Melissa 3-0

MELISSA -- Joey Bailey had 19 kills while Kristi Cross added 13 kills and four blocks as Gunter defeated Melissa, 25-18, 25-7, 25-16, to take sole possession of first place in the district.

Morgan Watson handed out 33 assists while Erica Young collected seven digs and Lindsey Beaty put down nine kills for Gunter (24-9, 4-0), which plays at Howe on Friday night.

Bekah Newberry had four kills and 10 blocks for Melissa while Shelby Hill and Caitlin Jones each put down four kills and Miranda Bates handed out seven assists for the Lady Cardinals (12-18, 3-1).

Bells def. Leonard 3-1

LEONARD -- Kirsten Keene handed out 24 assists with six digs and two blocks as Bells defeated Leonard, 25-19, 25-14, 22-25, 25-10.

Lauren Moore had six aces and three kills for Bells (12-12, 3-1) and Samantha Stanek added five kills and three blocks.

Brittany Graves totaled 11 digs, Hailey Johnson had five aces and four digs and Macie Robinson added three kills and three blocks for Bells.

District 17-A
Dodd City def. Roxton 3-2

DODD CITY -- Alex Hilliard had 18 kills, five aces and five blocks as Dodd City rallied to defeat Roxton, 19-25, 22-25, 25-20, 25-21, 15-11.

Misty Goodin and Kayla Thompson combined for 29 assists, 15 digs and seven aces for Dodd City, which improved to 2-2 in 17-A and travels Friday to No. 25 Simms Bowie.

Christi Petty, Rainy Goodin and Lexi Langford of Dodd City had 36 digs among them and Briann Hilliard added 10 kills and two blocks.
