COLLEGE STATION — Celina’s Cody Worrell threw a pair of late touchdown passes to Jose Romero as the Bobcats beat Rice Consolidated, 34-19, to win the Division II 7-on-7 championship Friday afternoon at Texas A&M.

Rice Consolidated rallied into a 13-7 halftime lead with Myles Dumont hitting Mario Hull and Michael Scott for scores.

The Bobcats advanced to the title game by defeating Abilene Wylie, 38-24, Brownwood, 41-39, and then Graham, 41-32.

Melissa opened the consolation bracket with a 47-21 victory over Marion but then lost to Carthage, 32-27, in the quarterfinals. Carthage went won to the consolation final before losing to West, 35-28.
