McKINNEY — Celina used a great pitching performance by Kylie Roos and eliminated Bonham, 4-0, in a Class 3A Region II quarterfinal game on Monday night at McKinney Boyd.

Roos allowed just a pair of singles, both by Haley Walker, while striking out 10.

Celina (33-4) scored a pair of unearned runs in the first inning and added single runs in the fifth and seventh innings for their scoring.

Jasmine San Miguel drove in two runs for the Lady Cats, while Lindsie Knowles had an RBI single in the fifth inning following a lead-off triple by Brittanie Knowles.

Bonham (28-8) got a good pitching performance from senior Rikki Reedy, who allowed eight hits and just two earned runs.

Celina moves into the region semifinals with a match-up against the Princeton-Wills Point winner later this week.
