S&S stays at No. 1; Celina up to second
S&S Consolidated retained the No. 1 ranking in Class 2A Monday in the Texas Girls Coaches Association final regular season poll.
The Lady Rams (28-0), a state semifinalist last year, play a warm-up game against Sam Rayburn, ranked No. 16 in Class 1A, on Friday at 6 p.m. at Leonard.
In 3A, Celina (29-4) improved one spot to No. 2 and is making its fourth consecutive playoff trip and fifth in the last six years.
Meanwhile, Bonham (25-7) rejoined the 3A poll at No. 23 and Blue Ridge (15-8) gained recognition in 1A as both return to the postseason.
